Who Am I?

My name is JD Teitelman (NMLS #527599). For over the past 15 years, I have been working in the mortgage industry helping people accomplish their goal of owning a home in the DC Metropolitan Area. My specialty is working with first-time homebuyers to navigate the home-buying process.

Buying a home is not an easy process. There are lots of moving parts, multiple different people involved, and some much information that is being thrown at you. It can be overwhelming at times. 

Before many of my clients reach out to speak with me, they spend a lot of time searching for answers to their real estate and mortgage questions on the World Wide Web or social media. Lots of misinformation exists on the topic of real estate published by people who aren't in the field.

JD Answers Questions is going to try to answer real estate and mortgage questions as simply as possible. Some posts will be short and sweet; others will be longer. But what I promise is to cut through the noise of social media and other websites - and tell you the answer straight.
